Minnesota Miracle
Summary:
I presented myself at the AFL-CIO convention in Rochester this past September and now have 385,000 union workers on board. I'm walking from International Falls to the Twin Cities in April of 2014. I'm attempting to raise $30 million that will be put into an endowment and give Minnesota 1.3 million to buy 10,000,000 pounds of food every year to feed Minnesota. www.letterofhope2007.com will show I'm serious when it comes to finding fruition with a project. I need the funds for an Event planner to help me reach all of Minnesota during the coming year. I'm retiring from the Post Office this March to pursue this goal full time. This will be all Minnesotans coming together as one to eliminate hunger in our state. Everyone from every walk of life. When we see a photo from above as 20,000 walk into the Twin Cities from White Bear Lake to the Capital, you'll have to look hard to pick out Jarid Allen or any of the other celebreties in the crowd that represents all of Minnesota setting an example for the rest of the country!

How will your idea make a difference in Saint Paul? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)
The children that find it hard to find food outside of school will be fed at home and come to school with their minds ready to learn and grow. We depend on them to make the future of St Paul and the rest of the world a better place!! You and I are in a position to make a difference in the lives of thousands in Minnesota. I refuse to take life for granted and have done whatever I can to make life a gift! Eliminate hunger, the basic need of human existence and you open the door for growth!!

Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)
I'm no one special in this world and yet I've done things that are beyond the normal. Thousands of children have a "Certificate of Authenticity" from the astonauts of the Atlantis Shuttle to tell them their hopes and dreams circled the glove 92 times in 2009. I believe that gave them a sense of worth and power. Though it took the past events of my life to earn a position to be heard with this new endeavor I'm taking on, everytime a person gives back to his or her community, it comes back to them in some way!
