Summary:

I suggest building a cable ride similar the the one at the State Fair. It could run from the highland observation tower located at Snelling avenue and Ford Parkway. The higher the better. It can run down Montreal avenue over the park or golf course, head toward the Mississippi river, then return around or through the tower. What a view. It would be the second thing tourists would view as must sees, right after the mega mall.

What makes your idea different or unexpected? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

No city has something like this. Oh wait, we do. But it's at the state fair and only available for ten days a year. It is popular. It would make Saint Paul unique and bring in tons of money.

Minneapolis gets all the attention. This would give Saint Paul bragging rights and a greater share of the tourist dollar.

Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

The sky's the limit on development, no pun intended. The light rail is new to Saint Paul. This is only the beginning for things a city needs to give it an identity that stands out. "Oh you live in that city that has that Ride!"
