Summary:

Every Year throughout the Summer and Fall, Farmers and Vegetable Gardeners get together and sell their homegrown products at various farmers markets. Why not do the same thing with Minnesota Craft Beer Brewers and Winemakers? I Believe That One Million Dollars could either build a new or purchase an existing facility capable of supporting the hundreds of local Brewers and Winemakers. Not for just one weekend during the summer but for one day a week all summer...or one day a week all year round which gives Brewers the chance to get their seasonal products out into the public during the appropriate time of year. They could showcase new products as well as their well established products they can receive public opinion in order to make improvements to their product. I think this will not only attract the citizens of Minnesota but attract citizens from all over the world constantly throughout the year just as Mall Of America does. With the growing interest in Craft Brewing and with new Brewery's being Established at a greater rate than ever before I think this Idea would do lots of good for the Minnesota Economy and I have a strong feeling that it will continue to grow in popularity Bringing in more tourism. The Hotels, Gas Stations, Restaurants, Art Centers, and our many tourist attractions and accommodations in our great state will also thrive. Have Kids under 21? there are many small Companies that Brew Root Beer and Different types of Soda that could also set up a area for children where they could learn about the science aspect of brewing and make their own root beer. The possibilities are endless. I Feel its an Idea that could grow into something Big For Minnesota. Any one Else have the same idea and think it could work to better the State's Economy? I HOPE SO! Keep in Mind that the more Brewery's and Winery's that open up in this state and the more beer and wine they sell means the more they have to make and distribute throughout the country which creates jobs.

What makes your idea different or unexpected? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

My idea is different in the fact that it takes the concept of a Farmers Market and a Beer/Wine Festival and sort of molds and shapes it into a Revenue Generating Machine. Beer and Wine Sales are amongst the top Revenue producing items the United States. I feel if we can turn Beer and Wine into a year round event it would better the Economy, it will bring more tourism to our state and could have the potential to crate more jobs and more work for Farmers, Distributors, Brewers, Winemakers, Hotels etc. With in Minnesota.

How will your idea make a difference in Saint Paul? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

As Previously stated, I believe it will Improve the Economy in St.Paul and in the State of Minnesota as Beer and Wine tend to generate a large amount of revenue. ST.Paul is known for all kinds of events St.Patrick's Day Parade and Celebration for instance. Now imagine the worlds largest Beer/Wine Market in St.Paul During the St.Patrick's Day Celebration. I see only good things for our economy when I think of that. Then Add in the Winter Carnivals and the Fourth of July Fireworks. I have not been to the Taste Of Minnesota since I was very young so I am not sure if that still exists...However if it does the fact that St.Paul will have a Gigantic Beer and Wine Market may bring more people in to check out our other events as well.

Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

I believe that if my idea comes to life people will always remember it because the goal is not just to implement the idea and use it for a day. The goal here is to bring this idea to life and keep it alive in hopes to make major improvements to Local Business and to the State and Local Economy. It may Inspire others to think about different things that will bring people together and then take what they have thought about and turn it into something great for the good of us all.
