Summary:

To get the maximum impact from a one million dollar grant, it must be applied to a basic long-term goal, that will have a multiplying impact of many times one million. It is not useful to build a one million statue remembering the past, when we need to create a future for Saint Paul that has an excellent potential for dramatically increasing the average standard of living of all Saint Paul’s citizens over the next 25 years. Our proposal will lead to Saint Paul becoming the most advanced city in the world (yes, in the world) in applying the four types of INNOVATION in business, government, education, healthcare, not-for-profits, and families. We must teach The Principles of Innovation, starting with our executives, to every part of Saint Paul’s society. (The Mission of Global Innovation Foundation is found on the website Home Page.)
The most powerful multiplier of a one million dollar grant is to get our community leaders to focus on the critical need of getting our education systems designed correctly from Birth to 100. Our entire Minnesota and USA education system from kindergarten to our universities is NOT focusing on the fundamental principles of How Humans Learn!! We need Five-Day Innovation Workshops to begin to train our executives in business, government, education, healthcare, not-for profits, and families ASAP. As informed leaders, they will lead the organizations of Saint Paul to an outstanding society of humans fully unleashing their potential. What makes your idea different or unexpected? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

We have studied the fundamental operation of the human brain as it develops human minds. Learning is best measured by the trillions of neuron connections in a human’s brain. The fastest rate of growth of the trillions of neuron connections in the brain happens from conception to birth. In that miraculous nine month period in the womb, brain researchers have found that 17 % of the learning (neuron connections) is already formed by NATURE. Then, by NURTURE, humans learn more their entire life. The second fastest growth period of neuron connections is from birth to 5 years old (by NURTURE). There are six stages of learning: Facts, Information, Intelligence, Imagination, Collaboration, and Innovation. Global Innovation Foundation focuses on Imagination, Collaboration, and Innovation.

How will your idea make a difference in Saint Paul? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

The vision of changing our entire Saint Paul education system from Birth to 100, to teach in a way that matches How Humans Learn, is an incredible breakthrough!! The leaders of all sectors of Saint Paul organizations must commit themselves to truly unleashing the full human potential of every single person in Saint Paul from Birth to 100. This should NOT be a government-led initiative!! Our government public schools and even our private colleges and universities have missed this basic finding of brain researchers. We must change our entire “old-fashioned” education systems for all humans from Birth to 100. The leadership must come from outside the present bureaucracies.

Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

Human beings want the best possible future for their families. When the Declaration of Independence was issued in 1776, and the U.S. Constitution was approved in 1787, they became the fundamental principles of the USA and we have enjoyed incredible prosperity. Albert Einstein has said, “Intelligence is important, but the most powerful skill that human beings have is IMAGINATION, and it is available in incredible infinite quantities.” By teaching the Principles of Innovation from Birth to 100, we will unleash human potential more than any other initiative, bar none. Yes, this is equal in potential to the efforts of our Founding Fathers. We now know how the human brain works and How Humans Learn.
