Summary:

MEARS PARK DOME

Build a climate-controlled dome over Mears Park and link it to the skyway system. It could be a huge draw for residents and visitors, allowing various year-round activities in the park such as craft fairs, musical groups, food tastings, vendors, artists, hobbyists, demonstrations, small formal or informal competitions (spelling bees/quizzes/chess tournaments/etc.), and many other special St. Paul events. It could be a unique gathering place for individuals and groups, and a place for many fun events.

With a link to the skyway system via ramp, stairs, elevator and/or an escalator, it could be enjoyed year-round despite freezing, snowy days in winter or hot, humid days in summer.

It could also serve as a "green" space in the way it is built and maintained for heating/cooling/lighting.
