Summary:

I envision a white wall structure, free standing or attached, debossed and embossed with images representing St. Paul structures, icons, and diversity of the city. This would be a pristine white structured sculptured wall by day but at night it would come alive. Nighttime the white pristine sculpted wall would become a textured screen of visual vibrant colored images projected onto the wall, ever changing and moving as if alive. The sculpted wall would enhance the images as they would ebb and flow over the embossed and debossed images. The images projected onto the wall would constantly change and would include sporting events, seasonal images, and images submitted from any school or organizational project, thus involving every aspect of the community. It would become a destination must see art wall, ever changing. Artwork could be submitted as an annual competition of excellence with various themes and would change on a monthly basis. This project would include all organizations, schools, and individuals. The wall would be a sculpture by day and a vibrant moving wall of color by night

This Entry is about (Issues)

How will your idea make a difference in Saint Paul? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

This wall would involve the entire city and every aspect of the community as the projected images onto the wall are endless and would excite the imaginations of school kids, parents, sports enthusiasts and artists throughout the city as well as the state. An opening event each time the imagery is changed would be like an opening night. The wall would represent all aspects of the community and its people. An example... An all city school competition to show the diversity of the city in pictures and art, the winning entries would be projected onto the wall, set to music, for a designated length of time, with the school receiving the most accepted entires receiving special recognition at the opening ceremonies. It would be a tremendous way to spark interest in the arts as well as tell a story

Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

This project would become a destination site, both in the daytime as well as in the evening as it would be ever changing. Each time the images would change an entire new group of people would want to come see it and those that had seen it once, would want to come see the new images. a living Sculpture for St. paul
