other festivals are intentionally about how interconnected our cultures (and commerce) are. Through Rice, this festival is a chance to really celebrate both unity and uniqueness in a neighborhood that always seems to be on the low end of the totem pole... but is as necessary to the city's vitality as any other neighborhood.
