Watching People Working in Saint Paul - Photo Essay

Summary:
As a place on "The Great River", the settlement of Saint Paul brought roads - first rail; then many others, through and the city. With roads came people. Some, according to my aunts who diligently lectured me when I was small, got off the boat and walked along the railroad tracks; working for as they could and picking up bread and beer for their journey until they came to the promising Midwest. Here they got jobs with anybody who would hire them. They would cut 3-foot wide strips of sod and raised windowless huts. Walls were 3-feet thick and single (covered) chimneys, and solid wooden doors and uncovered floors and single stoves for cooking and heating either from suppliers and blacksmith constituted the single appliance in the house.
The spirit of hard work lives on in Saint Paul and may be seen in many smiling people... see attachment for an example of a possibly universal person with practically universal smile working hard in Saint Paul.

Innovation
What makes your idea different or unexpected? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)
All workers are different; even in similar settings and similar work. Art reflects the unseen in nature. The work reflects all that's been brought into being in Saint Paul; an endlessly interesting culmination, land to grain to bread and many marvelous innovations.
Impact
This Entry is about (Issues)
How will your idea make a difference in Saint Paul? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)
A picture is worth X number of words. Showing some, even minor, particularities of the city; especially the prime tenancy of the town -- the "rolled" legislature, the "group leader" -- his excellency, the Governor. This will generate communion in the spirit of work everywhere.
Sustainability
Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)
The feeling of accomplishment seems at times intangible; yet it is not. To inspire others to go beyond themselves is at least warming and through B. Franklin's "Mutual confidence and mutual aid can work wonders"...
