Support St. Paul Seniors
Summary:
St. Paul has the dual challenge of supporting an aging population and the many college students that attend our fine higher education institutions. The country of Spain supports both of these populations by connecting non-residents of the city that a university is located in with students with seniors who either need live in help or daily assistance. By connecting college work study programs with senior assistance groups some (appropriately vetted) students could find free or affordable housing while they attended college and/or work. This would be an especially good fit for students enrolled in health care training programs.
The program would have the added benefit of improving the sometimes tense relations between colleges and their resident neighbors.
