A center that displays the history and struggle of civil rights for all the populations of Minnesota, current and past (Native American, African American, Hispanic, Hmong, Jewish, Muslim, Somali, etc). This center will contribute to the richness of MN culture by displaying the diversity of Minnesotans and unite all Minnesotans by emphasizing the struggle Minnesotans experienced in attaining such rights.

It connects history and present and sheds light on issues we are sometimes hesitant to discuss. It seeks to unite Minnesotans as well as educate them and engage them in a discussion that is as relevant today as it was during the Civil Rights Movement.

It will educate the people of St. Paul as well as all Minnesotans on the rich civil rights history and culture of Minnesota. It will unit all Minnesotans under a common struggle for rights, and engage them in a conversation about how this struggle still exists for certain groups today and what we can do to ensure these rights moving forward.

It will raise awareness about current issues and inspire community members to engage in political and legal discussion to ensure equal rights for all. It will inspire a sense of justice and unity among community members and motivate them to be active in the current civil rights issues.
