Lafayette Bridge Art Installment

Summary:
Staying true to the roots of St.Paul lower town, I want to brighten up our neighborhood and it's creative culture by a team-built large scale architecturual installment. Multi-medium Glass artist Aaron Tafoya and local non- profit friends, have a plan to brighten up the newly constructed Lafayette Bridge within each of the triangular spaces that support the bridge. With solar panels powering each LED light system, the 4 seasoned and protected art glass/metal art fixtures are pre engineered and applied. This installation can be previewed 24 hours a day and from the following places:
1. From west side St.Paul, east side Indian Mounds scenic parks.
2. Down town St.Paul and high riss.
3. Your walk in to the new st.Paul saints stadium or place of business.
4. Boats traveling up and down the Mississippi River.
5. Previewed your travels up and down Shepard road and people can also see it while crossing any of the Mississippi river bridges in St.Paul.
There are several visual subject matters and historical concepts (we can shoose from) so I sent a semi generic super imposed photo to plant a seed of the panels vision. With St.Paul's seasons of re-urbanization, this artwork will be a local and national spectacle for years years to come.

Innovation
What makes your idea different or unexpected? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)
This project will captivate people with positive environmental impact. This is a green and clean application. Whether day or night, urban artwork incorporated on architectural super structures is a trending concept that has taken time to arrive and does in fact improve the quality of life for communities. From a half a mile or 5 feet away, this bridge will stop people in their tracks to allow yourelf to sit back and appreciate the beauty of life, the beauty of imaginative heart and the contribution to St.Pauls city-scape.

How will your idea make a difference in Saint Paul? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)
Public art installations bring people together, art lowers crime rates, art brings intention of inspiration. As a river runs dry, art is the water that flows new life. This architectural instillation will turn heads locally and nationally. My work will represent the majority of St.Paul lower town residents who have branded lower town as the leading arts, music and design community of Minnesota.
Sustainability
Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)
My art idea is built to last for the life time of the bridge. Do to the scale of this project people may recognize this art installation as a community effort that produces the good fruits we all desire and also that St.Paul is a thriving city who supports its history, culture and the arts community.
