Summary:

We have a cooking deficit--a lost skill for many. Using the kitchens available all over the city in churches, community centers, etc., we'll find the talented cooks from the neighborhood and invite other neighbors to come and participate in learning new skills to feed themselves and their families healthier food. This builds community connections and health at the same time. This will talking with people in the neighborhoods to find those talented people and organization and marketing to gather the groups. During the growing season the focus will be on local food products with easy and tasty preparations. We have a wealth of people who could provide ideas about preparation methods for those who need inspiration.

Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

This idea is easily replicable in almost any community. It just takes a bit of organizing which could be easier in a smaller community. Healthy kids and families in healthy, supportive communities would be the legacy.
