Summary:

Minneapolis has the Grand Rounds. Boston has the Emerald Necklace. Saint Paul needs its own network of connected public spaces, but through modern means. Saint Paul public space network or iStPaul creates an interactive platform that connects public spaces throughout the City. Imagine standing in front of a camera at the Como Park Zoo and waving hello to out of town guests as they get off a train at Union Depot. Or sitting on a park bench in Phalen Park and listening to sounds of the Lowertown Jazz Festival at Mears Park. Or watching the activity in the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary while sitting in City Hall. This multimedia platform connects all City citizens and visitors with the many Saint Paul's great public places and spaces.

Why do you think people will recognize or remember your idea after it comes to life? How might it inspire others to do something similar in their community? (4000 characters maximum or approx. 500 words)

Becuase the multimedia platform could include video, images, sounds or lights, the interaction between public spaces by people can be serios or playful. Since great public spaces are not exclusive to Saint Paul the ability to expand the system to be regional or international is there.
