Mrs. Zippy's Watering Hole
Summary:
Along the Mississippi River there is a special little spot. It is a fun place to go no matter if it is snowy, rainy, blustery or unseasonably hot. Mrs. Zippy's is the name spelled out on the hand crafted sign. It has a very whimsical design. It is outlined by colorful, alluring light bulbs which are artistically placed at an angled, crooked line. The uniquely constructed building houses an inviting little shop which is nestled among the wooded bluffs on the river. Minnesota handcrafted products are for sale such as agate jewelry created by the local artisans who are very talented and clever. The fossil aquifers create a bubbling fountain of pure artesian well water.
The newly constructed building is a replica of a country lighthouse-style structure made from a variety of natural building textures -- wooden shakes, some stucco and pieces of limestone from long ago. The structure is surrounded by natural grasses, not the type of lawn that anyone would need to mow.

Welcome to Mrs. Zippy's. C'mon in to this charming cafe in a well-designed building which exudes charm and hospitality. Saint Paul is the perfect place for this property – nestled along the bluffs. The new bike path along the river is an experience in and of itself. But, when even the serious bikers need a break, they will stop off at the “watering hole” for their free gulp of artesian well water. Once people step in, they will feel like they are right at home. Soon they will want to keep going back to their home away from home.

Reasonably priced yummy comfort food. Mrs. Zippy's will not only offer food for the hungry, but a place to nourish friendships and grow new ones. This will become the type of place that will be the talk of the town. Homemade goods will be made daily. Coffee will be fresh. And, music during the evenings. Musical artists will showcase their wide range of talents. Don't forget that the hanging baskets can be borrowed out for a personal picnic lunch along the riverbanks. Bike rentals will be available. Just want to relax and see the picturesque scenery? Take a surrey ride.

This cafe will greatly impact those who take the bike paths along the Lilydale Road. This spot would be a great place for a refreshment break. This cafe will become a Saint Paul landmark which will impact the community in a very positive way. The natural design and materials used for the architecture would be one of the places that you would have to visit during a trip to Saint Paul. The food and gathering will catch on. In this case it is the artesian well water and healthy-only comfort food which will sustain our athletic and casual bicyclists alike.
