As the Executive Director of The Saint Paul Police Foundation, I connect our mission of preserving and strengthening public safety in St. Paul with the citizens, corporations, residents and the employees. Our objective is to create successful private public partnerships that enable our police officers to keep our city safe and innovative through our school youth programs, connecting mentors with at risk kids, Cops and Kids, and Safe City Project. My goal is to meet with the private grant makers whose guidelines align with the mission of the organization to diversify the foundation’s revenue mix and to leverage government relations. Previously, I served as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations Catholic Charities, where I oversaw all private grant making operations and led the growth in revenue in this area to $3.5 M. As the Director of External Affairs, I created fundraising events which generated more than a half million dollars in new revenue. Prior to Catholic Charities, I served as the President/CEO of the Saint Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation where I directed the design and execution of a world-class annual event. Organized volunteers and staff, led outside committees and fundraise for all aspects of programming. My experience in the for profit arena includes marketing leadership roles at the Star Tribune, GL Ness Advertising, and Ecolab, Inc.
